A lifelong South Dakotan, Sheriff Swenson knows the value of keeping our communities safe and strong. Growing up, he knew his dream was to serve and protect others.

Sheriff Swenson answered that call with 27 years of leadership at the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

Overwhelmingly selected by the great people of Lincoln County to keep their communities safe, Sheriff Swenson was sworn in January 2019. His record of fairness, compassion and transparency has continued to make Lincoln County stronger every day.

Sheriff Swenson is a proud father and patriot.
